Change your quote calculator's prices and check every result

You change your cleaning rate from €30 to €33 per cleaner-hour. A three-hour job should move from €90 to €99. But a fixed package and an old follow-up email may still show their previous prices.
Here is how to check one change from the pricing rule through to the customer's message. The figures below are illustrative, not recommended rates or customer results.
For this example, the hourly service uses a €75 minimum. An oven-cleaning extra stays at €15. A separate fixed package stays at €120 because the business has decided to hold that price.
Find where each value lives. Check the calculation, package descriptions, result page, and any email or PDF you send. A price typed into a sentence may need changing separately.
ConvertSite lets you edit the setup. Organising those values clearly makes the next update easier. The quote calculator use case shows how pricing rules can fit into the customer journey.
Use the same customer answers before and after the change:
These checks answer different questions. The first checks the rate. The second checks an extra. The third catches a broken minimum. The last confirms that the rate increase has not changed an unrelated package.
Holding a package at €120 also changes its relationship to your hourly price. Check whether that still makes sense for the work included.
Enter the three-hour job with the oven extra and submit a test request. The result should show €114. Check that the customer email and team notification describe the same services and amount. Check the PDF too, if your setup sends one.
If a message still says €105, find whether it uses an old value or separately typed text. Where possible, have the calculation and message use the same result. Test again after the correction.
For more complex rules, the dynamic pricing guide covers the broader setup.
An update to the live calculator does not automatically decide what happens to a quote already sent.
Record when the new rate takes effect and how your team will handle earlier offers. Test any saved quote link before sending it again. It may preserve the earlier result or calculate with current rates, depending on the setup.
Keep the previous rate and these test cases in your change record. Ask a colleague to submit one request before relying on the update.
If nobody can explain which prices a change affects, bring that example to the concierge team. Agree the scope of help needed to make the rules understandable and maintainable.
