Set up conversion value
Set up conversion value tracking to see the business value each goal produces, not just how often it fires. It needs two things first: an enabled value formula on a button action and a goal that names and references the conversion.
Before you start
Add the Conversions and events button action to at least one button in your project. In that action, turn on Track the value of your Conversions and add a variable for the value. Without these, the Conversion value page can't record anything.
Open the Conversion value page
Open Conversion value for your project. Click Set up goal when no goals exist yet, or click Edit in a goal's menu to change one.
The period selector uses the same six periods as the Analytics dashboard.
Set up a goal
A goal pairs a name you recognize with a conversion reference that already exists in your project.
Click Set up goal.
Enter a Goal name, for example "100 quote requests per month".
Enter the Reference that was added in the Conversion action.
Click Set up goal to save.
The reference must match an available conversion reference. An empty name or a reference that doesn't match is rejected with: "Choose a name and an available conversion reference."
Turn on the value formula
The value formula tells ConvertSite what number to record for each conversion. Without it, the value tracked is zero.
In the Conversion action, turn on Track the value of your Conversions.
Enter the formula in the Value formula field that appears, for example
TOTAL_PRICE.
A formula that returns no value is rejected with: "Add a formula for the conversion value, such as TOTAL_PRICE."
Edit or delete a goal
Existing goals show a chart of stored conversion values. Use each goal's menu to Edit its name or reference, or to Delete it.
Deleting a goal removes all tracked data for it. Creating a new goal later starts tracking from scratch, and the action can't be undone.
